The foil inlayer is a device which unrolls foil using a roller system, and directs it to the pallet zone, or within reach of robotic arms, depending on weather the device is working on its own or synchronised with a robotic arm. The foil inlayer measures out the required lenght of foil, cuts and drops it to a set position.
Our inlayers can place foil on empty or pre-formed pallets, so concequentially there are different types of this device, differing in height and supporting devices added on. Supporting devices provide lowering of the platform for foil replacement, or adaptation to the height of loaded pallet, etc.
The length of foil unrolled is different for the top and bottom pallet cover. Foil width is 1300-1350 mm, and the lenght of cutting can be customized as per request.
If the inlayer releases foil on top of the pallet, the speed of unrolling must be synchronised to motion speed of the pallet to precisely position the foil.
If the inlayer is synchronised to a robot on the production line, the speed of unrolling after being grabbed by the robotic arm must be synchronised with the foil retraction speed.
